At the heart of Kingscote Estate is the stunning 15th century Tithe Barn – an idyllic space for weddings. Surrounded by the vineyards, orchards, lakes and rolling countryside you couldn’t be in a more fitting place to enjoy your special day.
The wedding couple can make use of the whole 150-acre estate for photo opportunities. The lakes, the River Medway meandering through, wooden gates, vineyards, and rocks are amongst the many potential photo settings. The Bluebell Railway Kingscote station is nearby and guests can even travel in style by steam train!
Kingscote now has a civil ceremonies licence, so if you wish to you can hold everything in the Tithe Barn.
Once you are through the great oak doors you are welcomed into a warm and inviting space with under-floor heating and oak beams. Large French doors at the rear of the barn open out to a picturesque seating area with a bridge over a babbling brook.
An excellent party space with stone floors for dancing, sound system and lights that can change colour to suit the mood. The state-of-the-art kitchen from luxury design house Clive Christian is equipped with AGA ovens and has a stylish drink serving area. An open balcony on the first floor provides an ideal spot for taking photos, signing the wedding book and displaying photos and videos.
The barn has a seating capacity of 130 with round tables. Catering options range from a three-course hog roast to a lavish five-course meal. Kingscote award-winning wines include Cuvée Christen sparkling, Chardonnay, Fat Fumé and The Bacchus.
